Yes! Now for the caveat. I have 6 and have never dealt with a 4, but I
can't imagine that they downsized the alternator on the 6 from a bigger one
on the 4. The stock 6 alternator was 28 Amps. Perhaps someone else out there
can confirm what was stock on the 4.

So, if I read between the lines right, the stock generator on a TR4A is
pushed to
the limit by night driving with all the stock lights lit? I can't check
now (due to
rebuilding), but I noticed that the dash ammeter was reading something
close to
negative amps at night. (i.e. alternator putting out less current than the
total draw,
thereby discharging the battery)
Is this normal? If not I may need to check/replace the generator and
regulator
while I am at it!
