Dave,

Just a comment. I towed a Spitfire from Austin, Tx. To Shreveport,
Louisiana......(almost the same distance), in the same manner (front off
the ground....transmission in neutral)...., but i had none of the
problems you mentioned..... Wonder what the difference was?
