Actually, only the connector at the end of the neg cable is for the engine
block. The one in the middle of the cable is to ground the body. Look for a
bolt (or just the hole?) in the vicinity of the accelerator pedal shaft
which runs through the engine bay below the battery.
At least that is how it is routed on my 76.
