Thanks to
Henry Frye, Jack McCarrick, Don Moore and Don Pikovnik for the quick
response to my inquiry.

Jack provided a website photo ( http://www.englishcars.com/tr3-1.html )
courtesy of Peter's Marina Motors & Ana Petrova;
  <Ana - how is that project going?>

Henry also provided a photo of a less pristine example that you can see
at
http://www.arts.usf.edu/~musson/triumph/tr3-001s.jpg .  I understand
that this fine example is available for relocation with minor
improvements already in planning stages. (Apron attached). Contact
Henry.

Don LM offered an answer when he eventually gets under the pool table
(?).

and Don P. provided the actual dimensions:
"The recess is oval, 7 1/4" wide x 5 1/2" tall. The center is 9/16"
deep
max. The bottom of the oval is roughly 10"-10 1/2" vertically from the
bottom front of the inner fender."

Now I have to figure out how to make the repair as the body is off the
frame and the wings are just flapping out there... May have to wait
until it has rejoined the frame for stability.

Thanks Again.
Carl
