Hello Listers--
I've had the front end of my 76 TR6 up on jackstands for about 3 weeks
while rebuilding the front end--which seems to have gone well. When I
put it on the ground today and started the engine, gas began leaking at a
pretty good rate from somewhere near the cold start valve assembly on the
aft ZS carb. Does this sound like the obvious--carbs that need
regasketing--or is this customary for a TR that's had its nose in the air
for a few weeks? Before I put it on jackstands, it was running very
rough under load (accelerating even on level ground) although it was
idling smoothly. Now, it's idling rough and leaking. Opinions would be
appreciated.
