I have been told that the Triumph Engine is the same engine that is used in
the Massey Ferguson Tractor.

I don't know how old you are or if you have ever had experience with a
Fordf Model A. If you have, so much the better. The Triumph engine is a
model of simplicity (so long as you have a shop manual). Labor cost of
$2,200.00 is exhorbitant, to say the least. I have two suggestions: Look
around for an engine that is in good condition or 2. rebuild yours by
yourself.
If you are mechanically inclined go for #2
