Wierd Miss- part II

Thanks to all the listers who have helped me with the tune up problems on my
TR6.  Here's another one for you.  The points I bought last week to put on
the car won't fit.  They are the right fit according to the TRF diagrams,
but the ones in my distributor don't look anything like this, and the new
ones won't line up at all!
Does anyone know of a common exchange made to distributors on these cars?
Can anybody help?  Thanks in advance.
