Your friend is in luck...there is a guy in Texas that makes a kit for
bolt-in installation of a Buick or Chevy V-6 for the TR7.  For $670 he
includes all plug-in wiring, instructions, etc.
He advertises regularly in Hemmings, and I just so happen to have the
new issue in front of me.
