I have a question for owners of RHD TR6s. I'm in the final stages of
connecting up my new wiring loom in my 1970 TR6 and have a question about
the traffic indicator lights. On the front there is a set of combination
amber/clear lights. The amber is connected to the indicators; the clear is
connected to the driving lights. On the front wings are amber repeater
lamps that are also connected to the indicators. Is this correct?

Yes. On the front end of the car, the amber lenses should be inboard of the
white sidelights.

The main question is the tail lights. When I turn on the driving lights,
the red lights and the outside amber lights turn on. The indicators only
operate the rear facing amber lights. Is this correct? Are there no
repeaters for the tail lights?

No. There were some cars as I recall that had separate side mounted amber
lights on the rear wings. These were just for side marking at night but they
had no flashing requirements. Looking at the car sideways on at night, only
the front amber sidemarkers flashed with the indicators.

This car was basically trashed when I got my hands on it, alas there was
nothing salvageable to help me determine how these lights are to function.

Thanks

A pleasure. Good to know you're driving a REAL TR6 with the steering on the
proper side <G> - assume this car is fuel injected?
