OK, I'll bite, AJ.....enlighten me. 
She IS running a little rich.....always has. I fill to the very top. Maybe I
overfill, and the excess (above the piston neck) ends up sneaking through the
clearance between the chamber and the piston. It might eventually find its way
to the suction side of the throttle plate via the vent hole. 
Sound reasonable? Maybe I should fill below the piston level.
