TR6 Rear lever shock oil

My rear shocks are just about worn out, and to get a few more miles out
of them before I
buy some new rebuilt units I was wondering if anybody has experimented
with heavier oil in
these to get some life back into them. 

Has anyone done this? If so what grade oil did you use and what effect
did it have?
