Bob, 

There is a little box mounted near your wind screen wiper motor 
that "counts miles."  Your speedometer cable is connected to it.
There is a special reset switch that requires a Key to reset the 
light.  That key comes with the special emmisions manual 
for Stromberg carbs.  (I have one)

Or you can just disconnect the wires.

This light was supposed to coax the customer to bring the 
car in for an emmissions equipment check to make sure the 
EGR valve is still functioning.  By now most have been 
disconnected or removed and anyway the dealer network has 
been disolved so you'll have to do it your self:

1) Open Hood
2) See round thing between the carbs and the rocker cover?
        Yes?  OK its still there.
