Steven,

Since I have a TR4, it not direct concern for me... but it occurs
to me that regardless of where your overriders are located the
bumper mounting points that the bar attaches to are the same...
and the badge bar should be no wider than this one anyway.

FWIW... I believe that this bar is an option for TR4A and TR250
owners to consider..

Gents: I trust you all know that the badge bars are different
for TR4's than for 4A's and 250's. The spacing of the bumper
over-riders is different and the entire bar changed after the
TR4. I hope you know which one you are buying/making.

TR4, 4A & 250 Listers,

I wanted to share something with you that many of you will want.

I have always seen badge bars on MGs, Jags and Healys, Stags,
TR2s and TR3s but only once one a TR250. I like the look as
long as it unobtrusive. It make the car look "very British" for
some reason.

I caught an offer from list member Bill Eley. Vern Burnett from
his Texas based TR club had made up a small batch of handcrafted
chrome badge bars for club members with the middle TRs (not sure
if it will fit early TR6s). There were a couple left over... I
jumped at the chance and managed to get one of the remaining
bars.

I received the bar from Vern and was very pleased with the
quality and especially the elegant design that allows the bar to
kind of "float" just above the bumper without being gaudy. I paid
around a $100 with shipping. Very fair considering the quality
and the prices charged by Moss for other bars. I'm sure it will
help my car stand out at this summer's gatherings.

Vern would like to make a second run of badge bars... but needs
to get a larger order together to justify the chroming costs. You
can check out the pictures that Bill Eley sent of the bar
installed on his car.

If you are interested... contact Vern directly at
mailto:VB157234@MSXSOPC.SHELL.COM. He is not on the List.
Naturally, I have no financial interest... bla, bla, bla
