Carl,
For what its worth, I am restoring a 59 TS58399 that has provisions for
screws (not DZUS!) and I was going to use the windshield parts from my Post
60000 donor. My car is definitely a pre 60000 design as I have the old type
rear seat arangement and square corners on the door bottom. Well the donor
windshield was about 1/4 too wide on my car. I measured the skuttles and my
vehicle is a 1/4 narrower than the post 60000. In my pile of parts (the car
was partly disassembled) I have a skuttle plate for a slide on windshied
stanchion that is drilled with two holes and no DZUS provision. Obviously
this was intended to be used as a spacer probably until all of the old
windshield skuttle combinations were used up. I will have to modify a
standard plate to make one for the side that is missing. With this in mind
your post 60000 should not need the spacer plate as your skuttle is slightly
wider than a pre 60000.

I hope this helps.
