TS1364 would have been built in Feb/March 1954. It was not unusual for
cars to not be sold for some time and to be titled in the year that they are
first put into service.

The other major parts source is The Roadster Factory
http://www.the-roadster-factory.com and to a lesser degree Victoria British
http://www.victoriabritish.com . There are also suppliers who ship directly
from the UK. You can also order parts through other sources who actually
obtain their parts from one of the above or Moss but they sometimes can pass
along a portion of their dealer discount. The British Parts Connection is a
good example at http://www.thebpc.com/ Roadster Factory uses original
parts numbers unless they have remanufactured the part or grouped several
into a kit. There is a Monster List of suppliers as well as other pertinent
information at http://www.team.net/sol/britpart.html

Value is very subjective and is dependant on condition and the desire of the
person buying it. Thoroughbred & Classic Cars has an online pricing guide
at http://www.specialcar.com/priceguide/ . It has been there for awhile,
but the values haven't changed much. Interestingly, they value the TR3 &
TR3A higher than the 2 but not by much.

Hope this helps
Good luck,

Carl

Hi list
I have a couple of questions about my TR2 currently being restored after
20 years in a barn.
1: The title says it is a 55, and the commision # is TS 1364 and the two
numbers in the center by the battery box are B1356 and 727355. Do these
numbers jive with a 1955 car?
2: Im looking for a few brake parts that are not available Moss. I have
only gotten stuff from Moss so I need to be educated in alternate part
sources. The parts in question are #588-590 bridge pipe, a headgasket, and
583-75- repair kit for slave cylinder (lockheed) Any suggestions?
3: Is this car worth much? I see a fair amount of TR3s, no TR2s for a long

time.

Thanks in advance
Bill Scherer
