TR6 Intake manifold gasket

Hi Everyone

I am replacing the manifold gasket between the intake and exhaust manifolds, 
on my TR6, and I am not sure which way does it go? The gasket has a metal 
surface on one side and a fiber material on the other.  Metal surface against 
the head or the manifolds?
