I have heard the same thing.  The thought comes to mind that if VW do buy
BMW the "New Mini" will undoubtedly be built on a Golf platform.

This raises the question:  If BMW produce the "New Mini" and Alchemy
produse the classic "Mini" will there be a copyright/trademark issue?
