GT6 transmission

Can anyone tell me how much torque the GT6 transmission is good for? I am
looking at the car as a candidate for some serious performance tuning and I
am wondering if the stock mechanicals are up to it. Yes, I know I should
really use a 4-banger sprint of TR7 engine, but I love 6-pots far too much
for that.
