Many thanks to all who responded, my H6s now appear to be leak free (fingers
crossed). The leaks occurred because the large clamp nuts weren't tight enough.
This let gas leak out the bottom, and also to be drawn up outside the jet,
resulting in a rich mixture. Those nuts are VERY tight right now (with a little
gasket sealer to ensure things are gas tight) and after two days and many
(grinning
like an idiot) hours of touring yesterday, both carbs are dry.

Some fine tuning of the mixture nut over the next couple of days and maybe I'll
even get some half decent mileage from it.

Thanks to all (in no particular order), Randall, Fred, Irv, Bob, James, Michael,
and Carl.
