Hello, sorry for the late reply.  I am catching up.

The speedo drive on all OD and non-OD transmissions is AFTER the OD and turns
at a speedo proportional to the drive shaft speed.  Your question is very good. 
 Nothing
else changed except the OD and now the speedo is off.  WHY?

Well, maybe the speedo drive gear in the OD has a different number of teeth 
than it "ought to"
(I.E. one fewer teeth).

Good question.  I do not have a good answer except to say, maybe ther is more 
going on here
than you think......  Could the speedo or cable be the culprit?
