I've been fighting my d-mn thrust washers for about the past 8 years.
That's when the first one dropped into the oil pan and I drove the car for a
couple of weeks before I figured out what had happened. Had the crank
surface machined and put in thicker washers, which was good for a couple of
years before they started dropping in the pan again. Pinned 'em last year
and had about 0.010" end float, now I'm up to about 0.030" play. And the
clutch has been getting progressively worse; now it doesn't quite totally
disengage.

So my question is: Does anyone know what the ratio is from clutch disk
opening to pedal movement? I'm prepared at this point to replace the crank
(and clutch and etc while I'm there). But first I'd like to feel confident
that that's the problem and that it's not just the clutch going away on me.

Thanks all,
