Hi folks,

Not TR related but it is about cars at least!

I have a small side business doing writing and photography about vintage
cars. I have an agent in Japan who has requested a series of top quality
photos of American cars from 1950 to 1979. I have a few in my files but
some more would be helpful. I would like to find 5 or 6 very nice cars to
photograph. The photos are to be used in a calendar. I am doing this
entirely on speculation and I cannot promise that any photo will actually
be used, that's up to an editor. And, because I am working through an
agent, I cannot promise that I will be able to get copies of the finished
product though I will certainly ask. What I will do is shoot a series of
top quality images in both 35mm and 6x6cm formats and give each owner a
selection of original transparencies for their own personal use.

The cars should be from 1950 to 1979, unmodified or at least original
appearing from the outside. They need to be in very good condition, near
show quality at least. I will need about 2 hours to shoot the car on a
weekend (hey, I got a real job!) preferably early morning or evening when
the light is best. The shots will have to be taken in a nice location. I'll
come to where the car is, and I'll go anywhere from say Ventura to San
Diego to Riverside. I have about 2 months to work on this.

So if any of you have some nice 'murrican iron in the garage next to the
TR, or have a friend or neighbor with a car that fills the bill, drop me a
line direct.

TIA

Cheers,

Kurt Oblinger
