Actually, the Triumph four-cylinders use a special, semi-circular lock-tab
washer to attache the flywheel to the crankshaft. There are two holes in
the washer's end, one for two adjacent bolts. Once the bolts are properly
torqued, the ends of the lock washers are bent upwards against the sides
of the heads of the bolts, securing them. I believe that Triumph uses the
same arrangment on the Sixes.

If there are no such lock washers present, then someone has removed the
flywheel, and failed to replace the correct lockwashers.

The ring gears are attached to the flywheels with a special lock-tab
washer also.

Cheers.
