As far as I am concerned I would ask one of the british parts place
(I.e. Moss Cox and Buckles) for a quote. I fitted one from them back
in 1994-95, it is of excellent quality.
I just got a quote for a wiring harness for my austin healey 3000
from A-H spares (harness plus steering column harness): $182 incl.
air freight shipping.
Moss U.S. catalogue price for the same $330 without shipping
British Wiring quote (on sale): $244 without shipping
The Dollar value has risen quite a bit in the past 2 years. Therefore
UK manufactured parts are now cheaper for the US importers to buy,
but they are not adjusting their prices to reflect that. This is very
unfortunate.
