Actually, there is no 3/16 UNF thread, per se.  It is actually a 10-32
thread.  The coarse thread version is a 10-24 thread.  Also, the 10-32
thread is not interchangeable with a 2BA thread.  They differ as follows:

Major Diameter:        2BA -- 4.7 mm (0.185"),        10-32 -- 0.190"
Threads/inch:             2BA -- Approx 31.4 tpi,              10-32 -- 32
tpi
Thread form included angle:        2BA -- 47 1/2 deg,            10-32 --60
deg

As you can see, they are close, but they will jam, because of the difference
in included angle and the slight difference in pitch.
