As I am down to the bare frame in my resto. this looks like the ideal time
to add a skid plate to protect the sump i.e. easiest access to the bottom
of the car - just turn it over!
I have both Haynes and Bentley but it is not clear to me how one attaches,
or just where it hangs and how far back it goes etc.
I do have some reasonably heavy metal around and the one picture I saw
makes it look like a pretty simple piece, so I think I'll make one.
Can anyone help me with dimensions, describing how it is attached, or even
improvements that could be made?
And does it replace the angle iron type of piece right under the radiator,
or supplement it?
