No objection whatsoever! The more information about the availabliity of
parts the better for all of us. This type of info does not fall into the
categroy of commercialism IMNSHO. Rather it provides valuable info on what
parts are available where.

I'd just like to say that IMO, this kind of information is welcome on the
list.  If you had not publicly corrected Tom's mistake, many other people
might waste a lot of time trying to find the coupling elsewhere.

Perhaps I should call for a 'show of hands' : If someone (not a vendor)
posts that they cannot find a part, does anyone have any objection to a
vendor posting "We have those in stock" ?

It seems to me that this is exactly the sort of valuable information we are
trying to share here, and while I agree that commercialism should be kept to
a minimum on the list, I see no reason a vendor representative can't answer
a "Where can I find ..." question.
