Black sooty exhaust is a function of too rich a mixture. But recently I
noticed someone imply that the Monza flow-thru exhaust can cause this. Am I
missing something, is there less complete burn off of emissions or something
with these? I notice with the Monza system I have (provided by PO) this sooty
crap. Just had carbs rebuilt and assumed they were too richly adjusted.I don't
want this stuff all over my new paint! Any comments would be appreciated.
