When I put my spin-on filter on my TR6, I, too, had leakage problems. First
I made sure I had gotten all the old filter seals out, did find an extra.
Still had a leak! Next tightened real tight. Still had a leak! Finally
used Hylomar gasket seal - the blue goo. Worked great, no leak. Now use it
on everything, no leaks, even from the valve cover gasket.
