Did you try my method of finding a suitable sleeve ? They are available
in an almost continuous range of sizes, so it shouldn't be hard at all
to find one.
Measure the diameter of the surface you want to sleeve, using a
micrometer or dial/vernier caliper. (Inexpensive 6" dial calipers are
available from places like Enco for around $10-15, IMO every mechanic
should have at least one.) Also measure the length of the surface (a
ruler is good enough here, or use your caliper again).
Take your measurements down to your local NAPA store (should be several
of them in Austin) and ask to see their catalog. Pick out a sleeve that
covers your diameter (they have a range), and preferably is the first
length shorter than your length measurement. Ask the counter man to
order that part number for you. Expect to pay around $40 up front, and
wait 1-2 weeks for the part to come in.
