HEY!!! That's my car you're talking about!!! ;)

Jim,
First, thanks for proposing my.. er, my wyfe's car for the "Bloody Miracle"
award! ;)

Next,
Having a very bad paint (fading, peeling, scratched, and partly primed), a
few dents here and there, no softtop (but I do have a hardtop, no carpet,
seats with cracked vinyl and foam coming out of them, doesn't make a car
illegal on the road!

Everything work the way it should. All the electricals works, the brakes
brake, the handbrake does what it is supposed to do (brake in reverse but
not really forward!), no play in the suspension and steering and no holes in
body (the ones that were there are currently plugged with bondo!!!) and new
tires.

I like to call my wife's car the "Diamond in the Rough!" Hey, that could be
another category for awards!!!

That car is so fun to drive that I don't really want to put it on blocks to
fix it cosmetically. I'll leave that for the winter months. Also, since
the funds are rather low right now, I prefer to put my money for reliability
and safety rather than cosmetics.

I do plan on doing a full restoration once the TR6 is done, so I don't want
to put money on the car that I won't be able to recoup once I get to that
stage. So, in the next few weeks, a "new" carpet (from a house basement)
will go in, and a cheap but no so bad looking paint job will be done. For
sure, the paint won't...actually, can't be worst than what's on the car
right now!!! ;)

Now, where did I put that acceptance speech!!!
Cheers!
Stef
