Subject: Where did these carbs come from ?

Hi all :

Well, it's been awhile, and no one had the answer before, so let's try
again :

My 'new' Sports 6 has (clearly incorrect) SU H2 carbs on it, both with
tag numbers of AUC835. But, none of my SU reference materials list this
carb.
Does anyone know what car(s) they might've come from ?

Other clues : the banjo fuel inlets are the same as the ones used on
TR2-early 3A; and the dampers have hexagonal brass heads, the same size
(Whitworth) as the TR3. The dashpots do have the internal vent, rather
than a hole in the damper head. The throttle linkage connects at the
rear of the engine (although that might've been changed), and the choke
levers stick out horizontally towards the center (instead of down like a
TR2-3).

TIA
Randall
