You may have worn needles or jets or both...which might be causing it to run
rich at 2500 rpm.  You could always try making it run leaner at idle which
should make it also leaner at higher rpms....but don't leave it too lean for
long (such as hundreds of miles) or you could cause other problems with the
engine, e.g. running hot, burn a valve, etc.
