I'd renew the sleeves as well seeing as you are going to all the trouble of
renewing the bearings.

 An easy way to remove them is if you have access to an electric welder, run
a bead of weld round the inside of the sleeve. When the weld cools and
contracts it pulls the sleeve inwards and they just drop out!! This trick
came from an ex Triumph mechanic and has worked every time for me so far.
