Has anybody used the synthetic gear oils? I need to replace all the fluids
in mine real soon and would like something that would last. My newer MG I've
alwas used Castrol or Valvoline products but from the sounds on this tail
Castrol wouldn't be good in my old TR 10.

FWIW, I have been using Redline 75W90NS in Casper for the past year
with very good results. There has been a noticable "smoothing" of the
non-OD transmission, shifts easier all the time. I use it in the
differential also, can't say I have noticed any difference there, but
that is not an area where one can "notice" changes...It is not cheap
$8-10 a quart depending on where you buy it, but I think it is worth
it. I order direct from Redline and they ship to you via UPS.
