There is no reason not to have two other than the passenger side one is
somewhat difficult to see anything.  (I believe there was thread on this not
too long ago - re: convex mirrors.)

As to placement.  Locate the apex or high point of the curve on the fender.
Should be pretty close to directly over the center of the wheel.

Can the "TS54226L" have both a driver and passenger wing mirror?  Is there
supposed to be one on the passenger side?
