I have found it is best to use left-handed twist drills when drilling out broken
bolts in blind holes.
The vibration and torque will often remove the bolt. In fact, although I am
ostensibly drilling the hole for the purpose of using an easy-out, I have seldom
had a fastener which has withstood the drilling without loosening subsequently
yield to the easy-out!
