As someone else said, check for rubbing inside the cap.

Are you sure the rotor mark is really a crack not carbon tracking?  For a 
modern plastic cap/rotor cracks without a crash is pretty rare.  If you still 
have the first bad rotor, try to gently flex the area around the crack, the 
crack should get wider as pressure is applied.

If the crack doesn't open, clean the area with lacquer thinner or similar 
"hot" solvent.  If it wipes away it is carbon tracking.  If it is a crack, 
the solvent in the crack area will stay wet while the surface is dry.
