>Is there a float bowl from another LBC, or another marquee, that does
not have this plug, but will fit on the Zenith's without any
modifications? If there is such an animal, are there any adjustments,
such as float height, that have to be made?

Bill,

Most, if not all, late 70's Stromberg carbs had float bowls that were cast
without the hole so look in the scrap yards for any late model TR7, TR7,
Spitfire or MGB. Be sure to get one from a CD175 as I don't know if a bowl
from a CD150 will fit. There is no need to fiddle with the float since the
float level is a function of the jet and the float is attached to the main
body, not the float bowl.

57 TR3 (SU's)
71 TR6 (Strombergs with plugs)
80 TR8 (Strombergs without plugs)
