Dave, I'm very much afraid the answer is No, there's no easy fix.  But, take
the advance spring back off and undo the two screws that hold the point
plate to the dizzy body.  Be sure to gather up the lock washers that should
be on those two screws, then lift the point plate away (with the points,
condenser and wires still attached) so you can inspect the advance
mechanism.  If, as I think you'll find, the dizzy shaft isn't turning
either, remove the dizzy from the engine to find out why.  Etc.
