Totally agree with Bob Paul. If you've found the TR you want and it has
marginal oil pressure, pull the oil pan and bearing caps and have a look at
the shells. This is the only way to get the assurance you are seeking.
Also, a worn starter could indicate many, many startup cycles that
contribute the most to engine wear. Do not, under any circumstance, add any
motor flush (kerosene) product to the crankcase in the hopes of "cleaning it
out." This cleaning procedure on an 'aged' engine can release crud,
blocking oil passages and getting you into a complete rebuild real quick.
