AFAIK, the 'pinning' is only for the "4 thrust washer" mod, and only the
pair of washers on the cap get pinned.  The ones in the block slide in as
usual, and are kept from rotating by the ones in the cap.

However, I've worked on other engines where the thrust washers get put in
the block first.  As long as the bearing surfaces are oiled (as they should
be), it appears to be no problem to set the crank into place without
damaging them.  It just slides past the thrust surfaces.
