Hi Jay and Bill

The rubber mats were also installed in the early Spitfires . Would be nice
to see these available again .

Kind regards .

Greetings Bill,
As you may know, all TR4's were originally fitted with "front floor mat
assembly (rubber), part nos 705424 & 705423", not carpets, as is almost
always seen today. The reason is, so far as I know, the rubber mats
have never been reproduced and are generally unavailable as NOS. The
original mats are quite different than the AMCO mats available today. I
have distinct memory of discarding the tattered rubber mats in my TR4 in
the early 70s and installing a set of new carpets. I cared a lot less
about originality in those days.

Perhaps this is a potential product for your "rare bits 4 classics"
business. I'd certainly buy a pair.

brgds, Jay
