Thanks for your quick responses everyone!
I obviously need to clarify. The studs that were in the exhaust manifold broke
off when I went to remove the original brass nuts. I was able to remove one but
the other two broken studs needed major surgery to remove from the manifold.
Not wanting to have that happen again, I was asking about replacing the
combination of steel stud and brass nut, with a stainless bolt.
Hope that makes more sense. Well that's my question really - does it make sense
to do it?
