Hi List,
I am getting closer to finishing up my TR4A's tub restoration. I just have
to work on the front and rear valences and it will be done. Then on to
getting the wings, bonnet and boot lids all primed and sanded ready for
paint.
I was considering replacing the door skins on my doors. There are a lot of
dings and dents and I am not sure if they will be OK or not. I have about 3
sets of doors to choose from but each one has it's own problems.
Has anyone out there replaced their TR4A door skins? If so, how much of a
problem was it? I can weld and braze fairly good by now but I am wondering
how hard it is to relocate the door handles. From what I have read, the only
skins available are for a TR6 which has a second hole for the lock barrel
and I think the handle is not in the same position as mine. I think I can
get them for about $120.00 plus shipping and if I consider the time it would
take to try and straighten what I have now, it may be better to replace the
skins.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
I updated my website with the progress I have made if anyone wants to check
it out. I just may finish the body work this summer after all!!!
