Joe, it's always best to specify which car you're asking about ... at least
some of us have trouble remembering what we have, let alone what all 1200
list members have <G>

Rebuilding a TR3A MC is trivial, assuming the bore is in good shape.  If the
bore is pitted or gouged, it will need to be either sleeved (which is a
specialist job) or replaced.  It's worth noting that currently available
replacements don't look the same as originals, although they work fine.
