I'm not familiar enough with the Hayden control (and their web site says
they sell 4 different ones) ... but if there are any electronics inside the
fan control (as opposed to a simple relay), then connecting it with the
wrong polarity may destroy it instantly. I would certainly suggest
contacting Hayden technical support at
800-433-7508 x 2233.
If that doesn't work out ... write back & I'll supply a "best guess" as to
how to safely wire it.
