Ok, that definitely sounds like a problem.  Is the pedal near the floor at
that point, or is it stopping much higher ?  If you remove the pushrod to
the MC, does the pedal move normally ?

If you remove the rubber from the MC, can you see that the piston comes out
against the clip ?  If not, there's something wrong inside the MC, probably
a broken main spring.

Does the pedal go down further when you open the bleed valve ?

Are you saying that the pedal moved normally while there was still air in
the system, and then stopped going down when you got the system bled ?

That sounds like something broken inside the bellhousing.

Hard to say from that description, but it doesn't sound normal.  Normal is
the lever will move towards the slave by an inch or two (with the pushrod &
spring disconnected), which is pulling the TOB back away from the pressure
plate arms.  As you move the lever away from the slave, it should stop
slightly before it becomes vertical (right angle to the push rod).  You may
be able to feel a 'click' at that point.  Unless you're really strong, you
won't be able to move the lever any further without a cheater bar.

If you don't have this free play, then my guess would be that the TOB sleeve
is seized to the transmission front cover.  That happened to me a few years
back, when I was trying to coax the last few miles out of a failed TOB (by
ignoring the noises it was making).  I was fortunate in that mine seized
with the clutch engaged ... sounds like maybe yours has seized with it
disengaged.
