Hello, everyone.

I can't imagine anyone has an answer to this one, but what the hay. I'll ask.

My '59 TR3A project car came with two complete sets of seats. I've just
repaired, de-rusted and POR-15'ed the one set of salvageable seat springs.
They're like new now!

Question:

1) On the frame of one seat set, the seat pan has a full three rows pressed
into the metal where it bolts to the seat rails. The rows go completely
across the pan.

2) The seat pans of the other set have a local pressing only where the bolts
go. The metal is not pressed all the way across. This is like the B drawing
on page 102 of the Moss catalog. (Note that Item 14 photo on the same page is
not like either of my seat frame sets, since the depressions in the pan seat
in the photo are in interrupted rows, not complete ones.

Otherwise, the seat frames and original seat covers look identical (albeit one
is deterioted leather and the other is deteriorated vinyl). These both look
like item B on page 102. Both also have tilting backs on the passenger's
side.

Is there a difference that I'm missing? I'm sure it doesn't matter. ...But I
have been sure about many things in life....

Thank you, everyone.
