I was looking at the various vendor sites on the web for brake caliper
coatings. The VHT web site http://www.vhtpaint.com/breakcaliper.htm had
this to say about their coating:

"VHT BRAKE CALIPER, DRUM & ROTOR COATINGS provide a durable, heat resistant,
gloss coating specifically designed for cast iron and aluminum brake
applications. This durable coating will beatify the brake calipers, drums
and rotors on specialty vehicles with a custom appearance. This innovative
new coating withstands 9000F temperatures, brake dust, salt and corrosion
without losing its gloss luster"

According to varoius online dictionaries, "beatify" means "to announce
formally in the Roman Catholic church that someone who is dead has lived a
holy life, usually as the first stage in making that person a saint"

And to think I thought cleanliness was the next thing to godliness......
